Skyline Releases Winter Weekly Report #14

New York, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference released the Winter weekly report #14 on Monday, February 23rd, including Player of the Week, Rookie of the Week, Honor Roll and Conference statistics for men's and women's basketball.

Women's Basketball Update (17-8, 12-0 Skyline) - Full Report

The Rams posted victories over St. Joe's (70-56) and Sage (72-63) last week to finish the regular season with a perfect 12-0 record. Farmingdale State received the top-seed heading into the upcoming Skyline Conference playoffs.

Junior guard Andrea Desvignes (Deer Park, N.Y.) was named to the Player of the Week Honor Roll. She scored a game-high 24 points on 7-of-13 shooting, including 6-for-8 from 3-point range and added seven rebounds and six assists in the win over St. Joe's. Desvignes also had a game-high 19 points, seven rebounds, five assists and four steals against Sage.

The Rams will play host to #4 Mount Saint Mary College in the semifinals on Thursday, February 26th at 7:00 p.m. The other semifinal game features #2 Mount Saint Vincent and #3 Sage with the two winners playing in the championship game on Saturday, February 28th at the site of the highest remaining seed.

 

Men's Basketball Update (8-17, 6-12 Skyline) - Full Report

The men's basketball team finished the 2014-15 season with an 8-17 overall record. In three games last week, junior forward Anthony Lanieri (Lake Grove, N.Y.) led FSC averaging 12.7 points per game. He scored a game-high 21 points on 9-of-15 shooting in Sunday's 61-58 loss to Yeshiva.
