New York, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference released the Winter weekly report #12 on Monday, February 9th, including Player of the Week, Rookie of the Week, Honor Roll and Conference statistics for men's and women's basketball.
Women's Basketball Update (13-8, 8-0 Skyline) - Full Report
The women's basketball team posted a 3-0 mark in Skyline Conference games last week. The Rams defeated Mount Saint Vincent 59-53 on Tuesday and then earned victories over Mount Saint Mary on Thursday (67-59) and Saturday (62-49).
Junior guard Andrea Desvignes (Deer Park, N.Y.) was named to the Player of the Week Honor Roll. She scored a game-high 22 points, had nine rebounds and five assists in the win at Mount Saint Mary on February 7th. Desvignes tallied 18 points (7-for-13) in the win over MSMC on February 5th and recorded a double-double with 21 points, 10 boards and added seven steals in the win at Mount Saint Vincent.
This week Farmingdale State will travel to Old Westbury on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. and host Purchase on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
Men's Basketball Update (6-14, 4-9 Skyline) - Full Report
Farmingdale State was 1-1 in a pair of Skyline Conference games last week. The Rams defeated Mount Saint Mary 57-56 on Thursday and fell, 83-73, at Purchase on Saturday.
Junior guard Anthony Lanieri (Lake Grove, N.Y.) led the Rams after recording 17 points and seven rebounds at Purchase and tallying 11 points, eight boards and two blocks versus Mount Saint Mary.
The Rams play two home games this week: Wednesday vs. Old Westbury at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday vs. Sarah Lawrence at 3:00 p.m.
