New York, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference released the Winter weekly report #10 on Monday, January 26th, including Player of the Week, Rookie of the Week, Honor Roll and Conference statistics for men's and women's basketball.

Men's Basketball Update (4-12, 2-7 Skyline) - Full Report

FSC posted a 1-1 mark on the week with a 69-61 loss at Old Westbury before defeating first place Sage 61-57 on Sunday.

Sophomore forward Weldon Irvine (Queens, N.Y.) was named to the Player of the Week Honor Roll. In the win over Sage, Irvine recorded a double-double with a team-high 17 points on 7-of-13 shooting and 11 rebounds. He scored seven points and had 10 boards in the loss at Old Westbury.

This week the Rams will play two conference road games: Wednesday @ St. Joseph's - 7:00 p.m. & Saturday @ Maritime - 1:00 p.m.

 

Women's Basketball Update (8-8, 4-0 Skyline) - Full Report

The Farmingdale State women's basketball team earned a 58-51 victory at St. Joseph's in their lone game last week.

Senior guard Nicole Lanteri (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) was named Skyline Conference Co-Player of the Week. Lanteri scored 21 points on 8-of-14 shooting and added five rebounds in the win at St. Joe's on January 21st. Nicole also registered a pair of steals as she was named the Skyline Player of the Week for the second time this season.

This week the Rams are tentatively scheduled to travel to Purchase for a make-up game on Thursday and host Yeshiva on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
