Skyline Releases Winter Weekly Report #9

New York, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference released the Winter weekly report #9 on Tuesday, January 20th, including Player of the Week, Rookie of the Week, Honor Roll and Conference statistics for men's and women's basketball.

Women's Basketball Update (7-8, 3-0 Skyline) - Full Report

FSC posted a 2-1 mark last week with conference victories over Old Westbury (68-52) and Mount Saint Vincent (67-64).

Junior guard Andrea Desvignes (Deer Park, N.Y.) was named Skyline Conference Player of the Week. Desvignes averaged 20.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 6.0 steals in a pair of Skyline victories. She compiled 15 points, eight rebounds and three assists on Jan. 15 in the Rams' 68-52 win over Old Westbury. Desvignes notched 25 points and 10 steals – including the game-winning 3-pointer with 1.1 seconds remaining – as FSC edged Mount Saint Vincent on Jan. 17. She shot 6-of-14 from 3-point range on the week and was named the Skyline Player of the Week for the second time this season.

This week the women's basketball team will travel to St. Joe's on Wednesday @ 7:00 p.m. and host Mount Saint Mary on Saturday @ 1:00 p.m.

 

Men's Basketball Update (3-11, 1-6 Skyline) - Full Report

In a 1-1 week, Farmingdale State earned a 72-51 win at Sarah Lawrence before falling to Purchase, 86-73.

Freshman forward Eriq Williams (Valley Stream, N.Y.) was named to the Honor Roll after averaging 11.5 points and 7.0 rebounds while shooting 10-for-18 from the field.

The men's basketball team will travel to Old Westbury on Thursday @ 6:00 p.m. and host Sage on Saturday at 3:00 p.m.
