Masucci Scores 23 as Ithaca Defeats Rams

Cortland, N.Y. - In a non-conference game against Ithaca, the Farmingdale State men's basketball team lost by 16, 78-62. The Rams fell to 1-4, while the Bombers picked up their first win of the season and are now 1-3. 

Leading 24-17 with 8:21 remaining in the first half, Ithaca used an 11-0 run over the next 4:34 to extend their advantage to 35-17. The Bombers would take 40-25 lead into the break.

The Rams cut the deficit to 51-38 early in the second half, but Ithaca responded with nine unanswered points to extend their lead to 22 with 12:20 left to play. Farmingdale State was only able to close to within 15 points down the stretch as they fell, 78-62.

Senior guard Justin Bailey (Jamaica, N.Y.) scored a team-high 13 points, while freshman forward Eriq Williams (Valley Stream, N.Y.), who was named to the All-Tournament Team, had 11 points and eight rebounds.

Ithaca senior guard Max Masucci (Hopkinton, N.Y.) was 8-for-11 from the floor for a game-high 23 points.

Farmingdale State next will host Skyline opponent Mount Saint Vincent in their home and conference opener on Tuesday, December 2nd at 7:00 p.m.
