- Romero named Player of the Week -


New York, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference released the Winter weekly report #1 on Monday, November 17th, including Player of the Week, Rookie of the Week, Honor Roll and Conference statistics for men's and women's basketball.

Women's Basketball Update (1-1, 0-0 Skyline) - Full Report

The women's basketball team opened the 2014-15 season with a trip to Kean University for the Kean Cougar Classic. The Rams earned an 82-72 victory over Keystone in their first game and fell, 65-61, to Kean in the Championship Game.

Junior guard Camille Romero (Bronx, N.Y.) was named Skyline Conference Player of the Week. Romero averaged 21.5 points and 3.0 steals, while recording a team-high 24 points in the win over Keystone and 19 points in the loss to Kean. Romero made 17-of-21 shots from the foul line over the two games as she was named to the Kean Classic All-Tournament team for her efforts.

This week FSC will host William Paterson on Wednesday and then play in the Amherst Tournament on Saturday and Sunday.

Men's Basketball Update (1-1, 0-0 Skyline) - Full Report

The Rams opened the year with a 1-1 mark with a 70-66 win over Elmira and an 82-65 loss at the hands of Hartwick.

Junior guard Ruben Terrero (Brentwood, N.Y.) and freshman guard Trey Kinard (Deer Park, N.Y.) were each named to the Honor Roll. Terrero was named to the Maz Ziel Classic All-Tournament team, while Kinard averaged 11.5 points and 2.5 rebounds.

Farmingdale State will play three games this week: Wednesday @ Stockton - 7:00 p.m., Friday vs. Cortland @ Ithaca - 6:00 p.m., Saturday vs. Ithaca @ Cortland - 2:00 p.m.
