Skyline Releases Winter Weekly Report #13

New York, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference released the Winter weekly report #13 on Monday, February 17th, including Player of the Week, Rookie of the Week, Honor Roll and Conference statistics for men's and women's basketball.

Men's Basketball Update (17-6, 13-3 Skyline) - Full Report

The Rams were 2-0 last week after a 61-59 win at Yeshiva and an 83-79 home victory against Sage.

Senior center Donald Lawes (Queens, N.Y.) was named to the Skyline Conference Player of the Week Honor Roll. Lawes scored 14 points, had seven rebounds and seven blocks in the win over Sage. He set the FSC single-season record for blocks vs. the Gators surpassing AJ Matthews' previous mark of 99. Lawes added 11 points, seven boards and four blocks in the 2-point win at Yeshiva and shot 55% from the field in the two games.

This week the men's basketball team will play two road conference games: @ St. Joe's on Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. and @ Mount Saint Mary on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.

 

Women's Basketball Update (13-8, 10-1 Skyline) - Full Report

The women's basketball team was 2-1 last week with Skyline victories over NYU-Poly and Sage.

Junior guard Camille Romero (Queens, N.Y.) was named to the Player of the Week Honor Roll. Romero scored 20 points and had a game-high six assists in the win over Sage and had a team-high 14 points in the victory at NYU-Poly. She tallied 22 points in the non-conference loss vs. John Jay, while averaging 18.7 points per game on the week.

Farmingdale State will travel to St. Joe's on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m., Old Westbury on Friday at 6:00 p.m. and host Mount Saint Vincent for senior day on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
