Blamon Leads Stockton in Non-Conference Victory

Farmingdale, N.Y. - Junior forward Josh Blamon (Cinnaminson, N.J.) scored a game-high 26 points on 9-of-13 shooting as Stockton earned an 86-69 non-conference victory at Farmingdale State. The Ospreys improved to 7-1 on the year, while the Rams fell to 4-3.

Leading 25-15 with 7:28 left in the first half, Stockton scored on three straight possessions to increase the advantage to 17 points, 32-15. Farmingdale State answered with a 10-2 run to cut the deficit to 34-25 with 3:21 remaining. The Ospreys took a 41-28 lead into the break as Blamon led the way with 16 points after shooting a perfect 4-for-4 from 3-point range.

Stockton opened the second half on a 16-5 run and held their largest lead of the game at 57-33. Trailing 75-48 with under eight minutes to play, a 9-2 Rams run highlighted by a Justin Bailey (Jamaica, N.Y.) 3-pointer and layup put Farmingdale State down 20. Stockton led by as many as 26 over the final minutes en route to the 86-69 non-conference victory.

Senior center Donald Lawes (Queens, N.Y.) led the Rams with a team-high 15 points and six blocks, while freshman forward Weldon Irvine (Queens, N.Y.) scored 14 points on 5-of-8 shooting and added eight boards.

Blamon was 6-for-6 from behind the arc for Stockton, while senior forward Nnamdi Usuwa (Avenel, N.J.) had a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

The Rams next will host Yeshiva in a Skyline Conference game on Tuesday, December 17th at 8:00 p.m.
