Late Run Leads Ramapo Past Rams

Ramapo - 86, Farmingdale State - 73


Mahwah, N.J. - The Farmingdale State men's basketball team fell, 86-73, in a non-conference game at Ramapo College on Tuesday evening. The Rams dropped to 4-2 on the season, while the Roadrunners now stand at 4-3.

Trailing 16-14 with 14:30 remaining in the first half, a 9-2 Ramapo run over the next 3:57 increased the advantage to 25-16. Farmingdale State cut the deficit to six, 35-29, on back-to-back jumpers and a 3-pointer by senior guard Jonathan Annan (Staten Island, N.Y.). The Rams went into the halftime break trailing 47-38.

The Roadrunners led 49-40 in the opening minutes of the second half, before a 7-0 Rams run highlighted by three straight Terrence Henderson (Bronx, N.Y.) scores, pulled Farmingdale State within two. The Rams trailed by only one, 51-50, before an 8-0 Ramapo run extended the lead back to nine with 10:45 left to play.

Ramapo held a double-digit lead the final 3:25 as they earned the non-conference victory.

Henderson led all scorers with 26 points on 11-of-14 shooting from the field, while Annan added 23 points and a game-high seven assists.

The Roadrunners were led by Terry Hicks (Neptune, N.J.) who had a team-high 16 points, while sophomore forward Frank Nock (Bridgeton, N.J.) and senior guard Jermaine Emanuel (Englewood, N.J.) each scored 13 points.

Farmingdale State next will host Richard Stockton in a non-conference game on Saturday, December 14th at 2:00 p.m.
