- Romero named Player of the Week -


New York, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference released the Winter weekly report #4 on Monday, December 9th, including Player of the Week, Rookie of the Week, Honor Roll and Conference statistics for men's and women's basketball.

Women's Basketball Update (2-4, 1-0 Skyline) - Full Report

In a rematch of last year's Skyline Championship, the Rams earned a 78-62 victory at Purchase on Saturday afternoon.

Junior guard Camille Romero (Queens, N.Y.) was named Skyline Conference Player of the Week. Romero scored a season-high 29 points on 10-of-14 shooting in the Rams lone game this week. She was a perfect 4-of-4 from 3-point range and added three rebounds and a steal. Romero did not commit a turnover in the contest.

Farmingdale State has a three week break in their action and will resume play on January 4th when the host non-conference opponent Medgar Evers.

 

Men's Basketball Update (4-1, 1-1 Skyline) - Full Report

The Rams spilt a pair of Skyline Conference games last week with a 102-64 home win over Maritime, before falling 77-57 at Purchase.

Senior guard Jonathan Annan (Staten Island, N.Y.) was named to the Skyline Conference Player of the Week Honor Roll. Annan recorded a double-double against Maritime with a team-leading 16 points and 10 rebounds. He scored eight points and had seven boards at Purchase.

This week the men's basketball team will travel to Ramapo for a non-conference game on Tuesday, December 10th at 7:00 p.m. and then host Richard Stockton on Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
