- Lawes named Co-Player of the Week -


New York, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference released the Winter weekly report #2 on Monday, November 25th, including Player of the Week, Rookie of the Week, Honor Roll and Conference statistics for men's and women's basketball.

Men's Basketball Update (3-0, 0-0 Skyline) - Full Report

In Farmingdale State's lone game last week, the Rams earned a 73-48 home win over Medgar Evers. Senior center Donald Lawes (Queens, N.Y.) was named Skyline Conference Co-Player of the Week. Lawes scored 15 points on 7-of-8 shooting and grabbed 11 rebounds versus Medgar Evers. Lawes also registered six blocked shots in 23 minutes of action and now has 15 blocks through three contests this season.

Next week the men's basketball team will host Maritime in their Skyline opener on Wednesday, December 4th at 7:00 p.m. and then travel to Purchase on Saturday, December 7th at noon.

Women's Basketball Update (1-4, 0-0 Skyline) - Full Report

The Rams were 0-3 on the week with tough losses against #18 William Paterson (66-65 2/OT) and #13 Ithaca (75-60). Junior guard Camille Romero (Queens, N.Y.) was named to the Player of the Week Honor Roll. Romero averaged 19.7 points and 3.7 rebounds, while shooting 42% from the field and 89% from the free-throw line on the week.

Farmingdale State next will travel to Purchase on Saturday, December 7th at 2:00 p.m.
