- Matthews earns First Team honors -
Centerville, Mass. - The 2012-13 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Metro Men's Basketball All-Star teams were announced today by ECAC Interim Commissioner Steve Bamford.
Farmingdale State senior forward AJ Matthews (Brooklyn, N.Y.) was named First Team All-ECAC. Matthews, the Division III leader in both scoring and double-doubles, led the Rams to a 20-8 record this season. Matthews also ranks seventh in the nation in blocked shots and 54th in field goal percentage.
Old Westbury junior guard Tyrik Tucker was named the ECAC Metro Division III Player of the Year. New Jersey City University's Khalid Muhammed earned Rookie of the Year honors.
