New York, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference released the Winter weekly report #11 on Monday, February 4th, including Player of the Week, Rookie of the Week, Honor Roll and Conference statistics for men's and women's basketball.

Men's Basketball Update (16-5, 12-2) - Full Report

The Rams posted a perfect 3-0 mark in Skyline Conference action this past week. The men's team picked up victories over Maritime, NYU-Poly and Mount Saint Vincent.

Senior forward AJ Matthews (Brooklyn, N.Y.) was named Co-Skyline Conference Player of the Week. Matthews registered three double-double performances while averaging 19.0 points and 14.7 rebounds. He shot 18-of-32 from the field, scored 24 points and grabbed 11 boards in a 76-48 win versus Maritime. Matthews had 19 points and 21 rebounds in an 83-75 victory over NYU-Poly and tallied 14 points and 12 boards in a 62-49 win against Mount Saint Vincent. Matthews became the fifth player in Farmingdale State history since 2000 to record 1,000 career points.

The Rams will host St. Joseph's on Wednesday, February 6th at 8:00 p.m. and travel to Purchase on Saturday, February 9th at 2:00 p.m.

Women's Basketball Update (9-9, 7-3) - Full Report

The women's team earned a pair of conference road victories over NYU-Poly and Mount Saint Vincent this past week.

Senior guard Nikita Green (Roosevelt, N.Y.) was named to the Skyline Conference Player of the Week Honor Roll. Green shot 50% from the field and 46% from 3-point range for the Rams. She scored 20 points, including 6-for-10 from 3-point range, had seven assists and seven steals in the victory over Mount Saint Vincent.

This week Farmingdale State will host St. Joe's on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. and travel to Purchase on Saturday at noon.
