
21st Annual Doc Greene Tournament - Championship Game
Juniata College - 81, Farmingdale State - 61
Huntingdon, Pa. – The Farmingdale State men's basketball team fell to host Juniata College this afternoon, 81-61, in the Championship game of the 21st Annual Doc Greene Tournament. The Rams fell to 5-3 overall with the loss, while the Eagles improved to 7-2.
Farmingdale trailed 38-23 at the break, shooting just 30-percent from the floor. In the second, Juniata kept the lead in double-digits, with a 62-percent field goal percentage for the half, to secure the Championship win on their home court.
The Rams were led by senior guard Ryan Davis (Flushing, N.Y.) with 25 points, while senior forward AJ Matthews (Brooklyn, N.Y.) had 14 points and eight rebounds.
Senior Alex Raymond (Hollidaysburg, Pa.) scored his 1,000th career point for Juniata, finishing with a game-high 22 points. Junior Kevin Stapleton (Indiana, Pa.), who was named the tournament MVP, scored 12 points and grabbed a team-high eight rebounds in the win. Junior Brian Scholly (State College, Pa.) also finished in double-digits with 16 points and had five assists.

Farmingdale State will play next in the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic at York (Pa.) on December 28-29. The Rams face Gettysburg on December 28 at 8:00 p.m., followed by the Consolation or Championship game on December 29th at 1:00 p.m. or 3:00 p.m.
