Skyline Releases Winter Weekly Report #3

New York, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference released the Winter weekly report #3 on Monday, December 3, including Player of the Week, Rookie of the Week, Honor Roll and Conference statistics for men's and women's basketball.

Men's Basketball Update (3-2, 1-1) - Full Report

Farmingdale State split a pair of conference games as they fell to Old Westbury 90-88 in double OT and rebounded with a 81-54 win over NYU-Poly.

Senior forward AJ Matthews (Brooklyn, N.Y.) was named Skyline Conference Player of the Week. Matthews scored 32 points on 12-of-17 shooting and had 23 rebounds in the loss to Old Westbury. He added 37 points (12-for-16), 23 boards and five blocks against the Blue Jays.

This week the Rams will host Purchase in a conference game on Wednesday, December 5 at 8:00 p.m before traveling to Juniata College for their tournament on December 7 & 8.

Women's Basketball Update (2-3, 1-0) - Full Report

The Rams played one game this week as they hosted Old Westbury on Thursday, November 29. Farmingdale State earned a 66-47 victory in their Skyline Conference opener.

Junior guard Nicky Young (Queens, N.Y.) was named Co-Skyline Conference Player of the Week. Young scored a career-high 27 points on 8-of-15 shooting and added five steals and a pair of assists.

This week the Rams will host Purchase on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m.
