New York, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference released the Winter weekly report #2 on Monday, November 26, including Player of the Week, Rookie of the Week, Honor Roll and Conference statistics for men's and women's basketball.
Women's Basketball Update (1-3) - Full Report
The women's basketball team traveled to St. John Fisher this weekend for the Woodcliff Hotel and Spa Invitational. The Rams fell in game one to Union (N.Y.), 48-45, before defeating John Jay College, 49-47, in the Consolation game.
Junior guard Nicky Young (Queens, N.Y.) was named to the Skyline Honor Roll this week. She was named to the all-tournament team after compiling 16 points and 10 rebounds in a 49-47 win over John Jay on Nov. 25th.
Men's Basketball Update (2-1) - Full Report
With just one game this week, the Rams defeated Medgar Evers 62-60 on Wednesday night. The game was tied 28-28 at the break, before Farmingdale edged the Cougars in the second half to take the win.
Senior forward AJ Matthews (Brooklyn, N.Y.) scored all his 24 points in the second half, while also finishing with seven rebounds and four blocks. Senior guard Ryan Davis (Flushing, N.Y.) had a season-high 18 points.
