Campbell Notches Career-High 41 Points in Rams Win

Farmingdale State - 110, Polytechnic - 71

Farmingdale, N.Y. - Junior forward Mike Campbell (Bronx, N.Y./Samuel Gompers) notched a career-high 41 points in Farmingdale State's 110-71 victory over conference opponent Polytechnic University tonight. Campbell fell one point shy of tying the single-game scoring record, held by Kenny McMillan with 42 points back in February of 2006 against the College of Mount Saint Vincent. The Rams improved to 15-2, 10-1 in the Skyline with the win, while the Fighting Blue Jays dropped to 2-15, 2-8.

Farmingdale State started the game with an 18-0 run and led 54-33 at halftime. The closest Polytechnic would get was an 11-point deficit with 16 minutes left in the second half, but the Rams would build on the lead and take their 11th straight win. Farmingdale shot 58-percent from the field for the night.

Campbell's 41 points was a game-high and he also added 16 rebounds and five steals. Senior guard Damien Santana (Brooklyn, N.Y./Grady) finished with 23 points and a career-high eight assists. Senior forward Davon Jackson (New York, N.Y./Rice) had a double-double of 16 points, 13 rebounds and three blocks in 20 minutes played. Junior forward Daniel Phillips (Baldwin, N.Y./Baldwin) had 13 points.

Polytechnic sophomore forward Anthony Mottola (Brooklyn, N.Y./St. Edmunds) led his team with 18 points, while both junior guard Jack Seon (Brooklyn, N.Y./BMCC) and sophomore forward Arjun Ohri (Bridgewater, N.J./Solebury Prep) scored 13 points.
