The Rams picked up a convincing non-conference win Wednesday versus Medgar Evers, before narrowly falling in their Skyline opener Saturday at Sarah Lawrence.

FSC was buoyed by the efforts of junior forward Layla Mendoza (Westhampton Beach, N.Y.), who received her first Skyline Player of the Week award after earning Rookie of the Week kudos three times one season ago. She shot .526 from the field and 3-for-7 from long range en route to averages of 23.0 points, 9.0 rebounds and 4.0 steals per contest over the two-game span, including 27 points and a career-best six steals at Sarah Lawrence.

Head coach Mark Dellecave's Rams are back in Skyline action Tuesday night at 5:30 p.m., when they welcome College of Mount Saint Vincent to Nold Hall.

Farmingdale State lifted the lid on its Skyline Conference slate in a big way Saturday night, as the preseason favorites earned an 80-69 triumph in their lone action of the week at Yeshiva.

Four players scored in double figures for the Rams, including senior Nick Hurowitz (Mt. Sinai, N.Y.), who was named to the Skyline's weekly honor roll after registering 21 points on 7-for-10 shooting, hauling in seven rebounds and dishing a career-high six assists in FSC's second-straight win at the Max Stern Athletic Center.

Head coach Brendan Twomey's FSC side plays host to Brooklyn College Tuesday at 8 p.m. in non-conference play, before traveling to Middletown, Conn., for a 2 p.m. tilt on Saturday at Wesleyan University.

Toys for Tots Drive

The Farmingdale State College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is playing host to a Toys for Tots Drive in Nold Hall from now until Dec. 12, and members of the College community and fans at the upcoming basketball games are encouraged to bring new, unwrapped toys that will be donated to the U.S. Marine Corps' program, which is celebrating its 75th anniversary this winter.
