FSC Competes at 20th Annual St. Joseph's Invitational

Kings Park, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's and men's cross country teams competed at the 20th Annual St. Joseph's Invitational this afternoon and finished in sixth and 11th, respectively.

Senior Erin Lettieri (West Islip, N.Y.) led the way for FSC in the women's 5k race as she finished 19th out of 198 runners in a time of 21:11.6. Senior Nicole Ferguson (Shirley, N.Y.) placed 28th in 21:27.5 and freshman Alycia Haynes (Adams Center, N.Y.) followed with a 33rd placed finish in 21:41.3. Sophomore Francesca Frasco (Shelter Island, N.Y.) (22:20.0) and freshman Hailey Walthers (Schenectady, N.Y.) (22:29.4) finished in 54th and 56th for the Rams.

In the men's 8k, sophomore Evan McCrann (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) earned a 23rd place finish in 28:52.4, while freshman Connor McKeever (North Babylon, N.Y.) (29:44.8) placed 42nd in the field of 219 competitors. Sophomore Joshua Green (Shelter Island, N.Y.) finished in 30:19.7 for 55th place individually.

The Rams next will compete at the Skyline Conference Championships held at the Hudson Valley Sportsdome in Milton, N.Y. on Thursday, October 31st.
