McCrann and Haynes Lead Rams at Golden Eagles Invitational

Bethpage, N.Y. - Farmingdale State sophomore Evan McCrann (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) and freshman Alycia Haynes (Adams Center, N.Y.) led the men's and women's cross country teams this afternoon at the Golden Eagles Invitational. The women came in fifth out of 19 teams, while the men placed 10th of 20.

In the women's 5k race, Haynes earned sixth place individually out of 150 runners in a time of 19:34.3, while senior Erin Lettieri (West Islip, N.Y.) followed with a seventh place finish in 19:40.8. Sophomore Francesca Frasco (Shelter Island, N.Y.) placed 27th in 20:34.1 and freshman Hailey Walthers (Schenectady, N.Y.) earned 41st in 21:41.5.

In the men's 8k, McCrann tallied a career-best time of 27:54.8 and placed 15th in a race that featured 175 competitors. Sophomore Joshua Green (Shelter Island, N.Y.) came in 43rd in a time of 29:12.3 and sophomore Dydro Prosper (Uniondale, N.Y.) earned 58th in 30:15.3.

FSC next will travel to Sunken Meadow State Park in Kings Park, N.Y. for the 20th Annual St. Joseph's Invitational on Saturday, October 19th.
