Men's and Women's Cross Country Finish Sixth at MSMC Knight Invitational

Milton, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's and women's cross country teams competed at the Mount Saint Mary College Knight Invitational on Saturday afternoon and each finished in 6th place. The men earned sixth out of 17 teams and the women notched sixth out of 23 teams. Merchant Marine captured first in both the men's 8k and women's 6k.

In the women's race, senior Erin Lettieri (West Islip, N.Y.) earned a team-best seventh place finish out of 181 competitors in a time of 25:41.9. Freshman Alycia Haynes (Adams Center, N.Y.) (27:14.7) placed 27th, sophomore Francesca Frasco (Shelter Island, N.Y.) (27:58.4) finished 36th and freshman Tiffany Paruolo (Kings Park, N.Y.) (28:36.3) earned 45th for the Rams.

Sophomore Joshua Green (Shelter Island, N.Y.) (28:56.1) led the way for the men as he placed 19th out of 177 runners. FSC freshman Connor McKeever (North Babylon, N.Y.) finished in 27th in 29:32.3, while sophomore's Evan McCrann (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) (31:06.9) and Dydro Prosper (Uniondale, N.Y.) (31:19.3) earned 58th and 60th place, respectively. 

The Rams next will travel to Bethpage State Park on Saturday, October 12th for the Golden Eagle Invitational.
