Milton, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's and women's cross country teams traveled to the Hudson Valley Sports Dome in Milton, N.Y. for the Mount Saint Mary College Knight Invitational on Saturday afternoon. At the meet, the men placed 11th out of 28, while the women took 21st of 26.
For the men, freshman Joshua Green (Shelter Island, N.Y.) paced the Rams with a fourth place finish out of 258 runners as he finished the 8K course in 28:46. Freshman Evan McCrann (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) was the second best finisher for Farmingdale State, taking 67th place in 32:30.
The women were led by sophomore Alexis Papol (Brookhaven, N.Y.) who finished the 6K course in 30:54 for a team-best 80th place finish out of 229 competitors.
Merchant Marine claimed the team championships for both the men and women.
FSC next will head to Branch Brook Park in Newark, N.J. for the Highlander XC Challenge on Saturday, October 6th.
