Rams Place Third and Sixth at Highlander XC Challenge

Newark, N.J. - The Farmingdale State men's and women's cross country teams ran at the Highlander XC Challenge on Saturday, October 7th. The women's team placed 3rd out of 17 teams in the 5k, while the men finished 6th out of 19 schools in the 8K race.

Sophomore Erin Lettieri (West Islip, N.Y.) placed sixth individually in 19:17.90. Senior Nicole Franz (Huntington, N.Y.) came in 15th (19:59.19) and sophomore Nicole Ferguson (Shirley, N.Y.) slated a 19th place finish (20:42.15).

For the men, sophomore James O'Brien (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) posted a 3rd place finish individually in 26:57.80 to lead for Farmingdale State, while sophomore David Santa (Maspeth, N.Y.) finished in 28th place (29:29.15).

Farmingdale State will now run at the 18th Annual St. Joseph's Invitational at Sunken Meadow State Park in Kings Park, N.Y. on Saturday, October 14th.
