Women - 6000m Race, 28th place; Men - 8000m Race, 36th place


Glassboro, N.J. - The Farmingdale State men's and women's cross country teams wrapped up the 2016 season at the NCAA Regionals on Saturday, November 12th at Rowan University in Glassboro, N.J.

The women's team competed in a field of 303 runners for the 6000m race, finishing in 28th place overall out of 43 teams. The men ran an 8000m race also with 303 runners and placed 36th out of 44 teams.

Leading the Rams in the women's race was freshman Nicole Ferguson (Shirley, N.Y.) with a time of 24:03.4 in 153rd place. Freshman Erin Lettieri (West Islip, N.Y.) finished second on the team in 179th place, while junior Nicole Franz (Huntington, N.Y.) took 187th for Farmingdale State.

On the men's side, freshman James O'Brien (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) placed 111th in 26:30.1, while senior Belony Borange (Valley Stream, N.Y.) posted a 217th finish.
