Rams Finish 5th and 10th at ECAC's

Milton, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's and men's cross country teams finished 5th and 10th, respectively, at the ECAC Championships held at the Hudson Valley Sportsdome on Saturday, November 5th. 

The women's team was led by freshman Erin Lettieri (West Islip, N.Y.) with an 8th place finish individually and a time of 25:28.8. Following Lettieri for the Rams were: Nicole Ferguson (Shirley, N.Y.) in 21st place at 26:20.6, junior Nicole Franz (Huntington, N.Y.) with a 27th place time of 26:46.3, freshman Erica Bavaro (West Islip, N.Y.) in 39th at 27:39.3 and freshman Alicia Shipsey (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) in 55th at 28:29.0. The Rams average time for the day was 26:57.

The men's squad was led by freshman James O'Brien (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) in 8th place as he posted a time of 27:38.5. Senior Belony Borange (Valley Stream, N.Y.) finished in 34th place with a time of 29:17.0, while sophomore Franklin Turcios (Westbury, N.Y.) recorded a 55th place time of 30:29.6 and freshman David Santa (Westbury, N.Y.) had a 65th place finish.

Both team will now travel to the NCAA Division III Cross Country Regionals on Saturday, November 12th at Rowan University in Glassboro, N.J.
