Women Finish Third, Men Finish 7th at Bard Invite

- Franz and O'Brien Lead Rams -


Annandale-on-Hudson, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's and men's cross country team finished in 3rd and 7th place, respectively, at today's Bard College Invitational. The Rams were led by junior Nicole Franz (Huntington, N.Y.) and freshman James O'Brien (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) in a race that featured 164 female runners and 151 male runners.

Franz posted an 11th place finish, as she paced the 3rd place women's team. She was followed by freshman Giselle Barrios (Central Islip, N.Y.) in 19th, freshman Erin Lettieri (West Islip, N.Y.) in 21st, freshman Nicole Ferguson (Shirley, N.Y.) in 23rd and freshman Alicia Shipsey (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) in 37th.

For the men, O'Brien finished in 6th place, followed by sophomore Franklin Turcios (Westbury, N.Y.) in 28th, junior Caleb Fiedtkou (Bethpage, N.Y.) in 50th, freshman Jon Texidor (Ossining, N.Y.) in 58th and sophomore Kyle Senn (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) in 69th.

Farmingdale State will now travel to Brookville, N.Y. for the LIU Post Invitational on Saturday, October 1st.
