Tiernan Finishes 17th at ECAC Championships

Williamstown, Mass. - Senior Sean Tiernan (Staten Island, N.Y.) finished in 17th place individually, in a field of 300 runners, as the Rams took a 24th place finish out of 44 teams in today's ECAC Division III Championships held at Mt. Greylock High School in Williamstown, Massachusetts.

Tiernan ran the 8K race in 27:06.24 with a mile average of 5:27.2, leading his team for the sixth straight race this year. Freshman William Frederic (Brooklyn, N.Y.) was second on the team in a time of 29:19.63 in 116th place, while senior Russell Darress (Lynbrook, N.Y.) finished in 155th in 30:00.13.

For the women's 6K race, sophomore Melissa Bonilla (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) led her team in 113th place while the team finished 36th overall. Bonilla finished with a time of 26:35.97 and a mile average of 7:08.1. Freshman Druscilla Dickson (Copiague, N.Y.) ran a time of 29:04.90 in 208th place for the Rams. The women's field had 276 runners.
