Tiernan and Bonilla Lead Rams at Branch Brook Park

Newark, N.J. - The men's and women's cross country team ran in the Highlander Invitational at Branch Brook Park on Sunday, October 9th.

Freshman William Frederic (Brooklyn, N.Y.) ran a personal best, 28:18.69, finishing second on the team in 38th place, behind senior Sean Tiernan (Staten Island, N.Y., 26:12.66) who finished 13th overall. The men's team finished 6th out of 16 scoring teams. Frederic and Tiernan were named the Skyline Rookie and Runner of the Week, respectively, for their performance in Sunday's meet.

The women's team was led by sophomore Melissa Bonilla (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) with a time of 21:26.26, as the women's team finished in 12th place at the meet. Freshman Megan Cabasino (Long Beach, N.Y.) was second on the team with a time of 23:12.92.

Farmingdale State will run next at the St. Joseph's Invitational on Saturday, October 22nd at Sunken Meadow State Park in Kings Park, N.Y.
