2006 Cross Country Season Recap

The 2006 Farmingdale State Cross Country team had a great season. As a team, the men finished first at the Stevens Invitational 4K Run, second at the St. Joe's Invitational and third in the Skyline Conference, while also recording a 9th place finish at the Collegiate Track Conference Championships, the highest finish in school history.

The women's team competed in five meets this season. The Rams defeated Old Westbury three times and fell to CW Post and St. Joe's for a 3-2 overall record in Dual meets.

Individually, the men's team was led by sophomore Mike Landi who finished 1st at Stevens and 2nd at St. Joe's. He also holds a 6th place ranking at the DeSales University course. Sophomore Alberto Soberanes finished 3rd at St. Joe's and is currently 7th on the DeSales University course list. Five other members of the team set personal bests throughout the 5-mile courses.
