FARMINGDALE, N.Y. | The Farmingdale State outdoor track & field teams are set for the All-Atlantic Region Championships on Wednesday, May 17th and Thursday, May 18th. The two-day championship is hosted by Susquehanna University and will take place in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania. 

The Rams will have five men and two women competing in the All-Atlantic Regionals. 

For the men, senior Matthew Calogianes (Deer Park, N.Y.) will run the 3000m Steeplechase. He qualified for the Regionals with a school-record time of 9:43.23 at the Skyline Conference Championship.

Senior Joseph Stocken VI (Miller Place, N.Y.) qualified for both the 110m High Hurdles, as well as the 400m Hurdles. He qualified for the 110m Hurdles three times, with his season-low coming at The Big Hurt on April 1st - 15.65. In the 400m Hurdles he posted four qualifying marks throughout the season with his best coming last weekend at the NJAC's - 54.58.

Senior Rodney Jerome (Westbury, N.Y.) will also compete in the 110m High Hurdles as he tallied a sub-15.80 time at the Skyline Conference Championship (15.73).

Sophomore Robert Kalinowski (Farmingdale, N.Y.) had a career-day at the NJAC Championship to earn his spot in the Regionals for the Decathlon. He recorded career-bests in 7-of-10 events, including the 100m, 400m, 110H, Long Jump, Shot Put, Discus & Javelin, for a total of 5,206 points.

Freshman Daniel Bamfo (Lake Grove, N.Y.) will compete in the Triple Jump after posting a career-best mark of 13.74m (45' 1") last weekend at the NJAC Championship.

On the women's side, senior Emily Russell (Southold, N.Y.) collected 4,033 points at last week's NJAC Championship in the Heptathlon to earn her spot at the Regionals.

Senior Alycia Haynes (Adams Center, N.Y.) is FSC's sole wild card and will run the 1500m. Alycia posted a career-best time of 4:55.41 at the NJAC's, just 1.41 seconds off of the Regional qualifying mark. Alycia sits in second place on the Farmingdale State record list with her time.
