Women Place Seventh, Men Finish Eighth at NJAC Championships

Pomona, N.J. - The Farmingdale State women placed seventh, while the men finished in eighth at the NJAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Stockton College in Pomona, N.J.

The women were led by sophomore Marina Magoulas (Islip, N.Y.) who earned a runner-up finish out of 19 competitors in the hammer with a toss of 44.48m (145' 11"). In the shot put, freshman Iyana Alexandre (Ridge, N.Y.) improved her #6 all-time ranking at FSC with a throw of 10.17m (33' 4.5").

For the men, senior Chad George (Levittown, N.Y.) notched a fifth place finish out of 25 in the 100m with a time of 11.11.

Farmingdale State's 4x100m relay team of Anthony Miller Jr. (Yonkers, N.Y.), Philip Sellitto (Levittown, N.Y.), Joseph Motis (Massapequa, N.Y.) and Denzel Green Wright (Central Islip, N.Y.) took second in 42.74. In the 4x400m relay, Motis, Joshua Green (Shelter Island, N.Y.), Sellitto and Green Wright placed third in 3:28.38.

Junior Blake Borghard (Northport, N.Y.) earned a fourth place finish out of 23 in the hammer (46.30m / 151' 11") and took fifth of 21 in the discus (38.88m / 127' 7"). Also in the hammer, junior Markhus Obas (Wheatley Heights, N.Y.) recorded a fifth place finish with a throw of 46.28m (151' 10").

Junior Joseph McKeon (Hyde Park, N.Y.) moved to #2 all-time in the javelin with his toss that measured 48.32m (158' 6"). In the pole vault, sophomore Eren Cabaci (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) placed fourth and is now tied for seventh on the FSC All-Time List with a height of 4.10m (13' 5.25").

The Rams next will head to Swarthmore College for the Last Chance Qualifier on Monday, May 13th.
