Farmingdale, N.Y. - Farmingdale State men and women captured the 2019 Skyline Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships held at Farmingdale State College for the second straight season this afternoon. For the men's overall scoring, Farmingdale State finished with 263 points, while runner-up Merchant Marine had 172 points. On the women's side, FSC totaled 191 points and finished 20 points ahead of second place Merchant Marine (171).

The Farmingdale State men won 11 events, while the women earned eight victories. In the men's 4x100m relay, the team of Anthony Miller Jr. (Yonkers, N.Y.), Philip Sellitto (Levittown, N.Y.), Joseph Motis (Massapequa, N.Y.) and Denzel Green Wright (Central Islip, N.Y.) finished in 42.97 to claim the event. In the 4x400m relay, Motis, Green Wright, Chad George (Levittown, N.Y.) and Sellitto placed first in 3:33.77.

Sellitto recorded victories in both the 200m (22.29) and 400m (50.79) and Joshua Green (Shelter Island, N.Y.) won the 800m in 2:00.76. George claimed the 100m dash in 11.26, while Joseph McKeon (Hyde Park, N.Y.) took the 110m hurdles in 16.35. 

In the men's pole vault, Eren Cabaci (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) earned the victory with a height of 3.97m (13' 0.25"). Blake Borghard (Northport, N.Y.) won the hammer with a distance of 49.37m (162') and took the discus with a throw of 37.42m (122' 9"). FSC's Stephen Honoré (Uniondale, N.Y.) captured the triple jump with a leap of 12.81m (42' 0.5").

For the women, Nicole Ferguson (Shirley, N.Y.) took the 1500m in 5:09.01, while Erin Lettieri (West Islip, N.Y.) captured the 5000m in 19:20.14.

In the 4x100m relay, Alexis Hunter (Brooklyn, N.Y.) Danielle Losquadro (Bethpage, N.Y.), Nazira Bah-Traore (Wheatly Heights, N.Y.) and Samantha Pollucci (Bay Shore, N.Y.) earned the victory with a time of 52.04. The Rams also won the 4x400m relay as the team of Nicole Johnson (Bethpage, N.Y.), Ferguson, Bah-Traore and Hayley Brigham (Southold, N.Y.) finished in 4:27.11.

In the 100m hurdles, Amira Kemp (Copiague, N.Y.) claimed the title after finishing in 16.99 and she also took the high jump with a leap of 1.40m (4' 7"). Pollucci carded a first place finish in the 100m with a time of 12.81. In the women's hammer, Marina Magoulas (Islip, N.Y.) won with a throw of 45.67m (149' 10").

Merchant Marine won two men's events and six women's events. For the men, Jesse Byorth (Billings, Mont.) earned a victory in the javelin with a throw of 46.47m (152' 5") and Tyler Pittman (Albuquerque, N.M.) won the 3000m steeplechase after finishing in 10:25.59.

Alexa Vandermeer (Grove Heights, Minn.) won three events this afternoon. She claimed the long jump with a leap of 4.59m (15' 0.75") and also took the 400m in 1:01.75. In the 200m, Vandermeer earned the victory with a time of 27.24.

In the 800m, Kaleigh D'Arcy (White Plains, N.Y.) finished in 2:27.79 to record the victory, while Madison Reddick (Baker, Mont.) took first in the women's javelin with a toss of 33.02m (108' 4"). As the only competitor in the women's pole vault, Briana Frank (Sidney, Mont.) cleared a height of 2.10m (6' 10.75") for the win.

Mount Saint Mary recorded five men's wins and four women's victories. In the men's high jump, Dabein Walker (Wyandanch, N.Y.) leaped 1.84m (6' 0.5") for the victory and also won the long jump (6.44m / 21' 1.5"). Kenneth Barrett (Wantagh, N.Y.) won both the 1500m (4:12.54) and 3000m (16:24.41), while Peter Zecchin (Thiells, N.Y.) took the shot put with a toss of 11.96m (39' 3").

For the women, Zoe Jabs (Plymouth, Conn.) took the 3000m steeplechase after posting a time of 13:40.89, while Samantha Papadopoulos (Smithtown, N.Y.) claimed the triple jump with a leap of 9.01m (29' 6.75"). In the discus, Alexandra Salamone (Sound Beach, N.Y.) recorded the victory with a toss of 35.49m (116' 5") and followed with a winning throw of 10.94m (35' 10.75) in the shot put.

St. Joseph's-Long Island took home one men's and one women's victory this afternoon. In the 400m hurdles, Daniel Antonawich (West Islip, N.Y.) earned the win as he finished in 59.55 and Jennifer Holownia (Miller Place, N.Y.) claimed the 400m hurdles with a winning time of 1:10.00.
