Rams Win Four Events at 5-Way Meet


Kings Point, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's outdoor track team finished 3rd in the USMMA 5-Way Meet on Sunday, April 23rd hosted by Merchant Marine. The Rams won four events with many performances moving their way up the All-Time record book lists.

Senior Nicole Franz (Melville, N.Y.) won the 800m in a time of 2:26.08, while also helping the 4x800m Relay team to a 1st place finish. The 4x8 Relay team of Franz, Nicole Ferguson (Shirley, N.Y.), Rae-Anne Guglielmo (West Babylon, N.Y.) and Giselle Barrios (Central Islip, N.Y.) moved to #2 on the All-Time list at Farmingdale State.

Barrios also won the 400m Hurdles at the meet, posting a time of 1:10.24, which moved her to #5 All-Time at FSC.

Sophomore Tunisia Solomon (Amityville, N.Y.) won the Triple Jump with a distance of 35' 2.5" (10.73m). She took 2nd place in the 200m with a time of 26.94 seconds.
