2015 Outdoor Track Season Recap


Farmingdale, N.Y. - At the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships, the men's outdoor track team placed seventh, while the women's team did not score.

Freshman Jyaire Ewa (North Massapequa, N.Y.) earned Second Team All-Conference honors this season after recording a runner-up finish in the hammer throw at the NJAC Championships.

At the season-opening Wagner College Invitational, Ewa placed fourth in both the hammer throw (45.34m, 148' 9") and shot put (12.86m, 42' 2 1/4").

Two weeks later at the USMMA 8-Way Meet, the men's team captured the title, while the women placed fifth. Freshman Idowu Bamisile (Brooklyn, N.Y.) won three different events including the 110m high hurdles (16.06), the 400m intermediate hurdles (56.60), while also anchoring the winning 4x400m relay. Ewa also picked up three wins at the event - shot put (13.04m, 42' 9 1/2"), discus (38.78m, 127' 6") and hammer (40.20m, 131' 11"). The women were led by junior Erin Donovan (Farmingdale, N.Y.) as she won the 100m hurdles in 17.45 and was the runner-up with a 1.43m high jump performance.

The Rams return the core of their team for next season.
