Staten Island, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's and women's outdoor track teams placed in 12 events on a cold day at the Wagner College Invitational in Staten Island, N.Y.
Freshman Jyaire Ewa (North Massapequa, N.Y.) started the outdoor season right where he left off in indoor by placing fourth in both the hammer throw (45.34M / 148' 9") and shot put (12.86M / 42' 2 1/4"). Ewa's hammer throw ranks him as the top freshman NCAA Division III thrower and he is #5 on the FSC All-Time List.
Junior James D'onofrio (West Babylon, N.Y.) placed in two events and one relay. He finished in sixth place in the 100M (11.36), fifth in the 200M (23.40) and anchored the fourth place 4x100M relay. Freshman Andrew Yarde (Valley Stream, N.Y.) placed third in the 400M intermediate hurdles with a solid early season time of 58.82.

The outdoor track teams next will travel to Ramapo College in Mahwah, N.J. for the Roadrunner Invitational on April 3rd & April 4th.
