
NJAC Championships
Weather: Day 1, partly sunny, 65 degrees; Day 2 - Very windy, occasional rain, 55 degrees
Ewing, N.J. - The Farmingdale State men's and women's outdoor track team competed in the NJAC Championships this past weekend, hosted by TCNJ. Senior Alix Lamarre (North Bellmore, N.Y.) scored 21 of the teams 46 points by placing 2nd in the long jump 6.80m (22' 3 3/4"), 2nd in the triple jump 13.46m (44' 1/2") and 4th in the high jump 1.83m (6').
The pole vault crew of freshman Karl Nilsen (Smithtown, N.Y.), sophomore Jordan Kohlman (Wantagh, N.Y.), and freshman Bryan Giordano (Brooklyn, N.Y.) all vaulted 4.05m (13' 3 1/2") and based on fewest misses placed 4th, 5th, and 6th, respectively, in the event. This was a personal best for Kohlman and Giordano and moved them into a tie for 10th place on the All-Time list. Giordano also set a personal best in the 100m running 11.55.
Erin Donovan (Farmingdale, N.Y.) continued to improve each week by setting two more personal bests. She placed 8th in the Hammer with a toss of 36.65m (120' 3"). This improved her #4 All-Time list performance. Her second personal best came in the Discus, where she threw 28.79m (94' 5") to improve her #5 All-Time list performance.
Overall, the team finished the meet with 12 personal best performances.
