Rams Win Four Events at Golden Eagle Invitational

- Bylick, Jang, Renteria and Kohlman Take 1st -


Patchogue, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's and women's outdoor track team opened the season this past weekend at the St. Joseph's College Golden Eagle Invitational. The Rams won four events over the two-day meet.

The men were led by Andrew Bylicki and Mike Jang, who each tied for 1st place in the Hammer Throw with tosses of 50.21m (164' 9"). They both qualified for the ECAC Championships and Bylicki moved into 3rd place All-Time with this mark. Bylicki also took 4th place in the Discus with an ECAC qualifying throw of 44.86m (147' 2"), which is #7 on the FSC All-Time list.

Steven Renteria won the High Jump with a leap of 1.85m (6' 0.75") and Jordan Kohlman captured the Pole Vault with a height of 3.65m (11' 11.75").

Daquan Grant finished in 3rd place in the Triple Jump with a mark of 12.56m (41' 2.5"), while Jonathan Gortman took a 3rd place finish in the 110m Hurdles at 15.94.

For the women, Susan Aguirre and Faustine Chukwuezi placed 3rd in their events. Aguirre ran a 17.49 in the 110m Hurdles and Chukwuezi posted a 10.22m (33' 6.5") distance in the Triple Jump.

Erin Donovan finished 6th in the Discus, moving to #4 on the FSC All-Time list, after a toss of 26.31m (86' 4").

The Rams will compete next at the Ramapo Northeast Challenge on Saturday, March 30th in Mahwah, N.J. For a schedule of the weekends events, click HERE.
