New Haven, Conn. - The men's and women's team cleaned up in the nice weather at the Yale Spring Invitational. The teams produced a new school record, two National Provisional qualifiers, six new ECAC qualifiers and 10 personal bests at the meet.
The women's 4x100m relay of Victoria Mandat*, Kathleen Clermont, Faustine Chukwuezi and Corine Magee ran 48.44 to break the school record they set on April 21st at the Stockton Quad Meet. This is a National Provisional qualifying mark. With the 4x200m record they set at the Penn Relays, they now have broken three relay records in the last three meets.
Senior captain Gregory Denis* (Tallahassee, Fla.) ran the 400m intermediate hurdles in a personal best 53.75, to provisionally qualify for the NCAA Championships. Denis' 400IH time is now ranked second all-time at Farmingdale State College.
Chukwuezi improved her National and ECAC qualifying triple jump mark with a personal best leap of 11.72m (38' 5 1/2"). She now is ranked second all-time in the triple jump at Farmingdale.
