Jerome, Haynes & Russell Post Personal-Bests at Atlantic Regionals

FARMINGDALE, N.Y. | The Farmingdale State men's and women's indoor track & field teams competed at the All-Atlantic Region Championships on Friday and Saturday at The Nike Track & Field Center at The Armory in New York, N.Y.

Senior Rodney Jerome (Westbury, N.Y.) and Joseph Stocken VI (Miller Place, N.Y.) (8.73) both competed in the 60m hurdles, placing in 22nd and 26th, respectively. Jerome registered a personal-best time of 8.69 to move into fourth place on the FSC all-time list. 

Also for the men, senior Morris Johnson (Binghamton, N.Y.) ran the 60m dash in 7.13 for a 28th place finish.

The men's relay team of junior Timothy Folarin (Elmont, N.Y.), Stocken VI, freshman Samuel Aladegboungbe (Bay Shore, N.Y.) and Johnson ran the 4x200m in 1:33.10, just one second shy of a top-10 mark for Farmingdale State.

For the women, senior Alycia Haynes (Adams Center, N.Y.) improved her #2 all-time ranking in the 800m with a personal-best time of 2:23.95.

Senior Emily Russell (Southold, N.Y.) competed in both the pentathlon and high jump (1.50m / 4'11"), earning eighth and 16th place. She improved her #3 mark with a personal-best 2,875 points in the pentathlon across the five events. 

The women's 4x200m relay team of senior Amira Kemp (Copiague, N.Y.), junior Jillian Kosky (Merrick, N.Y.), sophomore Meghan Cichon (Mahopac, N.Y.) and Russell came in 20th place in 1:55.96.
