STATEN ISLAND | The Farmingdale State College men's and women's indoor track & field teams competed at the Fastrack Last Chance Invitational on Friday afternoon at Ocean Breeze Park Track & Field Complex, with regional qualifying standards, personal records and movement up the Rams' all-time lists registered along the way.
For the women, junior Alexxis McNeil (Valley Stream, N.Y.) tallied a 10th-place finish in the 200m. Her time of 26.14 is a personal-best, meets the qualifying standard for the All-Atlantic Region Indoor Track & Field Championships, and moves into fourth place all-time at Farmingdale State. McNeil also competed in the 60m dash and came in 13th in 8.12.
Senior Alycia Haynes (Adams Center, N.Y.) highlighted the day for FSC as she registered a career-best time of 2:24.10 in the 800m and now ranks second in program history.
On the men's side, sophomore Robert Kalinowski (Farmingdale, N.Y.) recorded a fourth-place finish in the pole vault. He cleared a height of 4.30m (14' 1.25").
In the 60m hurdles, seniors Rodney Jerome (Westbury, N.Y.) and Joseph Stocken VI (Miller Place, N.Y.) tied for 12th place with a time of 8.76. The mark is a personal-best for Jerome and ranks sixth on the FSC record list.
Senior Matthew Calogianes (Deer Park, N.Y.) competed in both the mile run and 800m placing 13th and 26th, respectively. He ran a 4:42.44 mile and a personal-best 2:05.79 in the 800m.
Samuel Aladegboungbe (Bay Shore, N.Y.) represented FSC in the 400m and came in 27th place with a time of 55.63.
In the 60m dash, senior Morris Johnson (Binghamton, N.Y.) recorded 24th in 7.32.
Johnson (23.13), Stocken VI (23.39), Timothy Folarin (Elmont, N.Y. - 23.49) and Aladegboungbe (23.93) each ran in the 200m for FSC.
Those who have met qualfiying standards for the Atlantic Regional championship will compete at the event, March 3-4 at the New Balance Track & Field Center at the Armory in Manhattan.
