Women's Soccer Wraps Up Regular Season Play at Mount Saint Vincent

RIVERDALE, N.Y. | The Farmingdale State College women's soccer team wrapped up regular-season play Wednesday afternoon at Marillac Field, as host College of Mount Saint Vincent knocked off the Rams by a 3-1 final in Skyline Conference play.

FSC (8-9-3, 8-1-2 Skyline) netted the breakthrough goal 16 minutes in, when sophomore forward Jazzmin Terrell (W. Babylon, N.Y.) knocked home a right-side corner kick from senior fullback and reigning Skyline Conference Defensive Player of the Week, Celina Schenk (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.), to give the visitors a 1-0 lead.

The Dolphins (12-4, 10-1) sent the game into halftime level at 1-all, as Emily McCarthy equalized 15 minutes later with the first of her two goals on the afternoon. CMSV scored a pair of early second-half goals 1:43 apart from each other to pick up the victory.

Farmingdale State netminders Lindsey Jolly (Sr.; Massapequa, N.Y.) and Gabby Pinero (Fr.; Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) combined for 13 saves on the day, with Jolly turning aside eight Dolphins shots in 78 minutes of action before Pinero stopped five efforts in the final 12 minutes of action.

Next up for head coach Chris Roche's defending-champion Rams is the six-team 2022 Skyline Conference Women's Soccer Championship, which gets underway Saturday (Oct. 29) at home sites. The tourney field, seeds and pairings will be announced following the end of regular-season play Thursday night (Oct. 27).
