FARMINGDALE, N.Y. | The Farmingdale State College women's soccer team played host to Skyline Conference foe Manhattanville College on Saturday afternoon, as the two teams played to a scoreless draw.

In the first half, the best scoring chance came in the 17th minute, when FSC (8-8-3, 8-0-2 Skyline) sophomore Maddy Berry (Glen Head, N.Y.) collected a bouncing ball in the area off a free kick and forced a diving save out of Valiants (6-8-2, 6-2-2) keeper Macey Girard in the lower-right corner.

The teams traded chances in the 20 minutes of the second frame, with Rams senior keeper Lindsey Jolly (Massapequa, N.Y.) making a save in the top-left corner 58 minutes in on a 35-yard shot by Manhattanville's Natalie Aracena, before freshman midfielder True Eggers (Manhattan, N.Y.) nodded wide of the left-hand post off a corner kick four minutes later on the other end of the field.

Farmingdale State posted three strong scoring chances in the final six minutes of play, including two by junior Alexxis McNeil (Valley Stream, N.Y.). Her shot at the right post was blocked by the Valiants, while her tough-angle shot from the right channel with just over a minute to go skipped inches wide of the left-hand post.

The Rams held a 20-8 advantage in shots on the afternoon, while the teams took four corner kicks apiece. Girard made 12 saves in the Valiants' net, with Jolly turning aside four shots in sharing the clean sheet.

Head coach Chris Roche's Farmingdale State side wraps up regular-season play in the Skyline Conference on Wednesday afternoon (Oct. 26), when they travel to College of Mount Saint Vincent for a 3:30 p.m. kickoff.
