NEW YORK |
Senior forward Emily Zeblisky (Northport, N.Y.) collected a natural hat trick in less than a four-minute span Wednesday night at Randall's Island, and finished with career-bests of four goals and two assists while having a hand in every score by the Farmingdale State College women's soccer team, as the Rams captured a 6-1 victory over host St. Joseph's University-Brooklyn to move to 3-0 in Skyline Conference play.

Zeblisky's 10 points on the night are tied with Christina Merrill (Sept. 10, 2009, vs. Yeshiva) for the second-most in a match in Rams (3-6-1 overall) history (most: Katrina Cerverizzo, Sept. 7, 2008, vs. Yeshiva; program-record 5 g, a), while her four goals are in a three-way tie with Merrill, Ashley Guerrero (Sept. 25, 2015, vs. Purchase) and Corine Magee (Sept. 28, 2011, vs. Purchase) for second on the single-game leaderboard.

After the host Bears (3-4-1, 1-2 Skyline) netted the breakthrough tally through Mia Castaneda two minutes in, FSC quickly responded when Zeblisky set up freshman Alyse Rivera (New York, N.Y.) to level the match five minutes later.

From there, Zeblisky tallied the next four goals of the contest, including a natural hat trick in the 14th-through-18th minutes, to give the Rams a commanding advantage. Senior captain Julissa Martinez (Brentwood, N.Y.) moved her career and Skyline-best assists total on the season to eight by providing feeds on the first two tallies, before sophomore Shirley Hernandez (Long Beach, N.Y.) registered her first-career helper on Zeblisky's 18th-minute effort.

Following Zeblisky's 57th-minute unassisted marker, she set up Rivera's second goal of the night in the 74th minute of play. Both Rivera and Zeblisky are now tied for the Farmingdale State lead with five goals on the season.

FSC, who outshot the Bears by a 20-5 count, received a two-save effort in net from senior keeper Lindsey Jolly (Massapequa, N.Y.).

After having the weekend off from competition, head coach Chris Roche's Rams will commence a three-match week Tuesday night (Oct. 4), when they continue Skyline action in a 6 p.m. kickoff at St. Joseph's University-Long Island in Patchogue, N.Y.
