GLENSIDE, Pa. | Senior forward Emily Zeblisky (Northport, N.Y.) scored her first goal of the season 10 minutes into play Saturday afternoon, before assisting on the game-tying strike by freshman Alyse Rivera (Manhattan, N.Y.) in the 52nd minute of action, as the Farmingdale State College women's soccer team rallied from one-goal deficits twice to secure a 2-2 draw at Arcadia University's Jean Lenox West Field.
The host Knights (3-3-2) took the lead eight minutes into play on Taylor Gubler's finish on a breakaway, before Zeblisky leveled the match more than two minutes later, receiving a pass from senior Julissa Martinez (Brentwood, N.Y.) after the team captain created space by dribbling around her defender to send in the feed. For Martinez, it was her team-best sixth assist of the campaign.
Arcadia went back in front five minutes after the interval when Madi Mortelliti curved a shot into the left upper-90 to go back in front, 2-1. However, FSC responded in just less than two minutes, when Zeblisky found Rivera for the newcomer's team-high third goal of the campaign to account for the final score.
Sophomore keeper Chloe Kinsell (Monroe, N.Y.) made four of her game-best five saves in the first half of play for the Rams.
Head coach Chris Roche's FSC squad next turns its attention to Skyline Conference play on Tuesday night (Sept. 20), when it travels to Throggs Neck, N.Y., for a 7 p.m. kickoff at Maritime College.
