DALLAS, Pa. | Junior Michaela Rapisarda (Deer Park, N.Y.) scored her second-career goal nine minutes into play Saturday afternoon at McGeehan Field, before the Farmingdale State College women's soccer team fell to host and seventh-ranked Misericordia University, 3-1, in non-conference action.

Rapisarda got the visiting Rams (1-3) on the board early on, as she converted a corner kick from senior captain Julissa Martinez (Brentwood, N.Y.) to take the lead over the host Cougars (4-0).

Michaela Fasolino leveled for the hosts 13 minutes before halftime when she found the back of the net from 10 yards out off an assist from Emma Sweitzer, before giving Misericordia the lead for good in the 58th minute of play. The Cougars added an insurance goal 17 minutes before full time when Sweitzer converted from the penalty spot.

FSC sophomore keeper Chloe Kensell (Monroe, N.Y.) made seven of her game-high nine saves in the opening 45-minute stanza.

Head coach Chris Roche's Farmingdale State side wraps up play at McGeehan on Sunday afternoon, when it takes on St. Lawrence University in a 1 p.m. kickoff.
