GLASSBORO, N.J. | Sophomore keeper Chloe Kensell (Monroe, N.Y.) made eight saves Sunday afternoon, including a stop on an 85th-minute penalty, but a first-half tally by host Rowan University sent the Profs past the Farmingdale State College women's soccer team by a 1-0 count.

Rowan (1-0-1) picked up the only goal of the match in the 27th minute, when Jillian Jankowski controlled a blocked shot in traffic and slotted home under Kensell off an assist from Ava Morales.

The visiting Rams (0-2) forced Rowan netminder Calista Burke into three saves on the afternoon.

Head coach Chris Roche's FSC side next opens up Skyline Conference play on Tuesday afternoon (Sept. 6), when it plays host to Yeshiva University for a 4 p.m. kickoff.
