Rams Earn 9-0 Win Over Yeshiva

Farmingdale State - 9, Yeshiva - 0


Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's soccer team earned a 9-0 win over Skyline Conference opponent Yeshiva University on Thursday night.

The Rams (11-7, 8-0) scored all nine goals in the first half. In the 5th minute, sophomore forward Michaela Rapisarda (Deer Park, N.Y.) tallied the first score of the game off the pass by freshman forward Jazzmin Terrell (West Babylon, N.Y.) 

After an own goal by the Maccabees (0-9, 0-9) put FSC ahead by two, junior forward Emily Zeblisky (Northport, N.Y.) and freshman midfielder Jenna Garcia (Islandia, N.Y.) followed with goals to increase the lead to 4-0 with 28:23 left on the clock.

In the 20th minute, sophomore forward Kathy Lopez (Farmingville, N.Y.) scored as sophomore defender Gianna Demers (Selden, N.Y.) notched the assist.

Over the final 20:10 of the first half, Zeblisky, junior forward Dayna Marshall (Bohemia, N.Y.), freshman forward Johanna Heinen (Naples, Fla.) and freshman midfielder Nicole Ferreyra (Bellmore, N.Y.) each added goals to give the Rams a 9-0 advantage at the break.

Neither team attempted a shot in the second half as the Rams went on for the 9-0 victory.

Farmingdale State next will square off against Old Westbury on Saturday, October 23rd at 11:00 a.m. The Rams will be the road team but the game will be played at FSC.
