Purchase, N.Y. - Farmingdale State traveled to Manhattanville College for a Skyline Conference game on Saturday afternoon and won, 1-0, in overtime. The FSC women's soccer team improved 9-6 overall and 6-0 in the conference, while the Valiants fell to 7-3-2, 5-1-1.

In a scoreless first half FSC, freshman goalkeeper Chloe Kensell (Monroe, N.Y.) and Manhattanville senior goalie Alexa Pyatsky (Garden City, N.Y.) needed to make just one save apiece.

The Rams came out strong in the second half, attempting 13 shots, with six on target, but were unable to score as the game headed into overtime, 0-0.

Just over two minutes into the overtime period, a shot by senior midfielder Cailyn Demarinis (Deer Park, N.Y.) was saved by Pyatsky but led to a Rams corner kick.

Farmingdale State's senior defender Meagan Murdocco (North Babylon, N.Y.) sent in the corner kick and just 26 seconds later freshman forward Jazzmin Terrell (West Babylon, N.Y.) tallied the game-winning goal, past a diving Pyatsky, as FSC earned the 1-0 victory.

The Rams held a 20-4 shot advantage and took the only four corner kicks of the game.

Kensell (W, 6-2) made three saves in the shutout, while Pyatsky (L, 6-3-1) totaled eight saves on the day.

The Rams return to action this afternoon, Sunday, October 17th when they travel to Williams College at 1:00 p.m.
