Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's soccer team hosted Skyline Conference opponent St. Joseph's-Brooklyn this evening and earned a 9-0 win.

The Rams (6-4, 3-0) opened the scoring less than five minutes into the game on a penalty kick goal by junior forward Julissa Martinez (Brentwood, N.Y.).

In the 11th minute, FSC took a 2-0 advantage after senior midfielder Molly Dowd (Bay Shore, N.Y.) connected on her shot to the top right corner of the net from 35 yards out.

With 32:18 remaining in the first half, freshman midfielder Alexxis McNeil (Valley Stream, N.Y.) netted the long cross from Martinez to put the Rams out in front, 3-0. Only 17 seconds later, freshman forward Jazzmin Terrell (West Babylon, N.Y.) scored from 25 yards out off the pass by freshman forward Francesca Robiglio (West Islip, N.Y.).

Junior forward Emily Zeblisky (Northport, N.Y.) recorded the final goal of the first half on a header off the Kathy Lopez (Farmingville, N.Y.) corner kick. The Rams held the Bears (4-3-1, 1-2) without a shot or corner kick.

In the second half, Terrell, Martinez, sophomore forward Gabby Prisco (Seaford, N.Y.) and freshman defender Elizabeth Shields (Shoreham, N.Y.) each scored goals to cap off the 9-0 home victory.

Martinez and Terrell each finished with a game-high five points on two goals and one assist, while Robligio tallied a career-high two assists in the win. 

The Rams finished their six-game homestand and next will travel to Scranton for a non-conference game on Tuesday, October 5th at 7:00 p.m.
