Farmingdale, N.Y. - Farmingdale State freshman forward Jazzmin Terrell (West Babylon, N.Y.) recorded her first career hat trick as the women's soccer team earned an 8-1 home victory over Skyline Conference opponent St. Joseph's-Long Island this afternoon.

With today's win, FSC Head Coach Chris Roche picked up his 200th victory and now holds a career mark of 200-106-27 in 17 seasons at the helm.

Terrell opened the scoring only 2:02 into the game as she connected on a shot from 20 yards out over the reach of the SJC-LI (2-2, 0-1) goalkeeper.

In the 15th minute, the Rams (4-2, 2-0) went out in front 2-0 on a Samantha Muller (North Babylon, N.Y.) header off the cross into the box by senior defender Meagan Murdocco (North Babylon, N.Y.). Less than two minutes later, an unassisted goal by senior midfielder Cailyn Demarinis (Deer Park, N.Y.) increased the FSC lead to 3-0.

Farmingdale State held the Golden Eagles to only one shot in the first half and took the 3-0 advantage into the break.

Early in the second half, Terrell and sophomore defender Taylor Berry (Glen Head, N.Y.) each scored on headers on Murdocco corner kicks to put FSC on top, 5-0.

Terrell, junior forward Julissa Martinez (Brentwood, N.Y.) and sophomore forward Courtney Nelson (Ridge, N.Y.) each tallied goals as the Rams went on for the 8-1 victory.

The Golden Eagles' only goal of the day came on an Amanda Fabris (Centereach, N.Y.) penalty kick in the 83rd minute.

Murdocco recorded a career-high four assists in the win.
